Sacraments
The word “sacrament” means “to make holy” (sacra=holy, mentum=to make). That’s why Roman Catholics love the sacraments. Celebrating the sacraments at Saint Teresa’s is generally easy-peezy. Here’s is what you’ll need to do.

Baptism is celebrated on Sunday mornings, but on occasion on a Saturday. Fr Mike runs a prep session for parents of newborns, and after the class, the baptism is put on the parish calendar. Contact the parish (email or phone) to begin the process.

Reconciliation is available every morning after the 8:30 mass, or by appointment (email or phone); also seasonal during Advent and Lent. Watch the bulletin for dates.

Preparing for First Holy Communion is part of Religious Education (Sunday School). See Anarose or any of the priests to get your youngster registered.

Preparing for Confirmation is part of Religious Education. Recipients need to be 16 years old or older. See Anarose or any of the priests for more information.

Ordination is a Sacrament of Vocation (the call coming both from Christ and from the congregation). Here are links for priest and deacon programs:

Matrimony is a Sacrament of Vocation (the call coming from both Christ and from each other). Fr Mike does the preparation. You will need to start the process (email or phone) at least six months beforehand. Note: try to contact the parish before setting your date.

You can schedule the Anointing of the Sick anytime. Saint Teresa priests will come to your home or to the hospital (email or phone). There is a parish-wide Anointing ceremony done in the Season of Lent. Note that hospital anointing is generally done by the hospital chaplain.
